I’ve dreamed of going to live and teach in London for as long as I can remember. At first, the idea of doing this alone seemed crazy, but as I got older I began to realise that if I waited for someone else’s path to match mine, my dream would never come true. The decision to move to London next year has been a crazy, yet exciting one. All of the challenges will be worth it in the end; it truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Last year when I visited Europe with my best friend I instantly fell in love with London. At the age of 26, I am in the perfect position to make a move. I’m single and able to make this decision without worry of the impact on a partner, and I have a good teaching job I can go back to on my return. I have spent a very long time thinking about this decision and working everything out, but I am so excited that my dream is beginning to look more like a reality. Before settling down in London to begin my life there, I am planning a 5 week trip across Europe during their winter. Continue to follow my blog updates for planning tips, the lead up to my departure, my 5 week journey across 7 European countries, the highs and lows of being a solo traveler, my life in London and tips I’ve picked up along the way. Hopefully the adventures do not end there.
I’m so excited for this new chapter in my life!
